Applications are now open for U.S.Embassy Youth Council Nepal Batch 2022-23
About USYC:
Formerly known as the Ambassador’s Youth Advisory Council, the U.S. Embassy Youth Council is a group of young Nepalese people between the age group of 18 to 27 representing various background, ethnicity, religion, profession and gender. The council was created by the Embassy of the United States of America to Nepal and was initiated in 2011 by former U.S. Ambassador to Nepal, H.E. Scott H. DeLisi.
The USYC was primarily established to inform the U.S. Embassy about the challenges young Nepalese face and what can be done to address them, and to encourage participation by council members in their communities and the larger civil society.

The U.S. Embassy Youth Council Nepal (USYC) is now accepting applications for the 2023 Cohort. The U.S. Mission designed the USYC as a professional development and mentoring program for young leaders in Nepal (ages 20-30) to gain the leadership skills necessary to solve critical issues in their communities.
Throughout their 12-month participation, council members have networking opportunities, work on community engagement projects, and attend important events.
The Embassy works with We Inspire Nepal, a youth-led social change non-profit organization, to manage the USYC program.
