Bachelor in Social Work (BSW) is fundamentally a multidisciplinary course drawing theoretical concepts from different social sciences and instilling work values and principles in the students. It lays a focus on building up knowledge through practical activities and exposures to the live happenings in the field. In other words, it lays emphasis on learning by doing and applying the theoretical classroom knowledge in the real field work. Thus, social work education plays a vital role in producing the competent social workers who can bring positive social changes.
BSW graduates enjoy endless opportunities in their career since they can create career opportunities themselves and at the same time they can easily compete and grab the opportunities in the job markets. The doors of government bodies, and non government organisation such as I/NGOs, corporate houses, embassies, UN agencies and so on are always open for BSW graduates, since their practical education and work experience makes them stronger than the candidates from other faculties.
